Remember when…..

March 29th, 2012

Remember when things were simple? ….remember running through the streets as fast as you could, thinking that at any second you might fall over? Remember when the toughest decision you had to make, was who your ‘best friend’ was going to be that week?

Making decisions has never been one of my strong points. I weigh things up, compare things endlessly, and then in the end I just have to hope I’ve made the right choice….

…..sometimes things get too fuzzy, and I have to take a step back, take some time out; try to break things down and re-evaluate

Yesterday I made the decision that today I needed to take some time out…..

….just a couple of hours to help with my sanity!

I headed out into the sun, camera in hand and a notebook in my bag

I wandered around, and looked at the flowers starting to bloom…..

….then sat on a bench and watched the ducks and birds

I took out my notebook, made few lists, and tried to make sense of what I want to achieve and what direction I should take

….but at the moment, things are still a bit fuzzy

I’m hoping tomorrow, things will be a bit clearer :)

Happy Thursday….

I love this post, Lorna :) I agree, I think it’s really important to take time out, even if it is just a couple of hours to go for a walk, when things are feeling pressurised.
I’ve beens so bowled over by your journey into professional photography – your instinct seems to be great. I don’t doubt you’ll make the right decisions about a way forward.

Thanks for your kind words Kellee. It’s been a bit of a bumpy ride, and sometimes that step back is the one thing that saves your sanity! I’m definitely looking at things with fresh eyes this week. x
