365 project {days 44 to 58}

March 30th, 2013

One thing I should remember about my 365 project is that I need to stay organised! I’ve been taking photos and telling myself I’ll upload them later that day….. only I get distracted, and before I know it I’ve got photos on two different cameras and on my phone. Yesterday it took me nearly two hours to sort everything out. Note to self: stay on top of 365 project!

Day 44:

Saturday night movie. We’ve never seen ‘The Thing’ before, but it’s been highly recommended on a number of occasions. It was okay – but I found myself giggling in a few places due to the special effects. It’s hard to imagine anything like that these days….

Day 45:

The felting is still going strong. Although there have been a few nights recently where I’ve been tied to my computer late into the night working. Here is my current felt farmyard…… :)

Day 46:

I LOVE gerberas. Along with lilies, and sunflowers, they’re one of my favourite flowers. I bought these specifically for macro photography as I wanted to experiment a bit more this year.

Day 47:

….my latest felting project!

Day 48:

One of the things I wanted to do this year was read more – I set myself the goal of reading a book a month. Sometimes in an evening, especially if Ian is working, there’s nothing I like better than getting into my jimmys and reading. Last week I was reading The Gifts of Imperfection, by Brene Brown. My mother-in-law gave me my kindle at the end of last year, and I really don’t know what I would do without it! I had so many books that I was running out of room to store them – it’s also easy to take out and about as well :)

Day 49:

I’m not really into sci-fi and the X-Men films, but for some reason I don’t mind X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Last week at my friend Ste’s this is what we watched.

Day 50:

Shopping in Tesco – for some reason the childish part of me found this hilarious. ‘Woo woo’ :)

Day 51:

Macro playtime with my gerbera. A variation of this is for sale over in my Etsy shop…..

Day 52:

I injured my hip flexor last week and I’ve been in so much pain. I’ve been having physio and various other treatments on my left hip flexor for nearly a decade now (scary), so I’m used to the pain, what brings it on and how to manage it. But when I strained my right one it freaked me out big time – I have to treat it with a mix of ice and heat treatments….

Day 53:

I’m really loving inspirational and motivational quotes at the moment…..

Day 54:

Heat treatment for my hip flexor before bed. Why do they always make wheat pillows out of fabric that looks like off cuts from curtains from 40 years ago? I might take it upon myself to make a prettier one!

Day 55:

…..fresh supplies of chamomile tea :)

Day 56:

I only use Folio for my wedding albums, the quality is amazing. Jayne and Chris¬†got married last June, but only got around to ordering their parent album last month – it arrived the other day and I can’t wait to deliver it to them.

Day 57:

Guard kitty! Henry, one of my parents cats is a bit bonkers. I call her my little princess, but my Mum says she’s anything but! She growls whenever anyone comes to the front door, which is highly amusing to see. Yesterday my parents neighbour was putting up a new fence and she sat like this in the living room watching him through the window like a hawk!

Day 58:

A trip to Ikea for a mooch and to buy some fabric for a blind I’m going to make.

Happy Saturday! :)
