Film & TV Posts
Originally this post was going to cover last months filming of Owen Parker, and I suppose it does – in a fashion…..
The thing about Owen Parker is, we get to film in some really interesting locations. Last summer we shot at a fabulous location in Stone, and last month we shot in an old pub in Hebden Bridge. The thing I love about these places are the details. Whether it’s quirky wallpaper, painted walls, or semi-tacky ornaments I’m always really intrigued. I’ve not posted any of the details from last summer yet, but here’s a selection from last month.
Full Owen Parker post coming in the next few weeks

……perhaps I’m a little bit behind with some of my blog posts – approx. a year maybe
In March 2012 I got the chance to shoot production stills with an amazing group of people, on a project that had been in the works for quite some time. You can find further information about the project on the Charlie Film website.
If you have an upcoming project that you would like to discuss booking me as your stills photographer for, please get in touch.
You can see further examples of my stills photography for film / TV on my dedicated stills website, and you can also view my profile on Film and TV Pro.

Last week saw another sell out show from PurpleCoat Productions. This time, it was Titus Andronicus at Unity Theatre in Liverpool. The day before the show opened I headed over to take some photos of the final rehearsal.
You can see photos of their previous show here ——–> The Rise and Fall of Little Voice.
If you require a stills photographer for any of your projects, large or small, please get in touch. You can see examples of my stills photography for film / TV on my dedicated stills website. You can also view my profile on Film and TV Pro.

I LOVE shooting stills for film. There’s nothing quite like the buzz of being on set. Back in September I shot the production stills for a feature film trailer called ‘The Final Haunting’. The building where we shot was a bit spooky and apparently haunted – which was quite apt really! The upper part of the building hadn’t been refurbished yet so it was all in darkness – it was a bit eery but nothing particularly scary. Although I’m pretty sure if I had come face to face with anything I might have changed my mind
. Hopefully the film should be going into production pretty soon – I’ll keep you posted.

Part III of filming Owen Parker is now over, although overall, we’re behind with shooting by a few days.
Day 6 of filming (Saturday), was interesting as I got to photograph a pig! When I was younger, I was pig mad; I loved them and collected anything to do with them, so Saturday was brilliant! Her name was Ninja and she was 7 years old.

I thought things would be more frantic, but Rob, Ninja’s owner carefully guided her round while tempting her with food. Pigs have really bad eyesight and rely a lot on their sense of smell, so it was interesting to watch Ninja slowly moving around.
In the build up to Saturday, the day was simply known as ‘pig day’. As it was pig day, there were no cast, just crew, so we managed an early finish and made the most of the nice weather and had a bbq.

We invited the residents of our shooting location, as a thank you for putting up with us and our filming! Everyone had been really welcoming, so it was only right to show our appreciation.
Yesterday, day 7, the weather was all over the place and completely unpredictable. At one point we got rained off; we had all gathered under umbrellas to try and wait it out, but in the end, we gave up and went for lunch.

Finally, after lunch, the sun made an appearance and we headed back out to continue shooting; we even managed to get an early finish!
Last night when Ian and I got home, it was good to kick back with a take-away and a cheeky Tsingtao, knowing we could have a lie in and take it easy this morning!
Look out for official photo’s of Owen Parker soon….
Happy Monday !

I can’t believe we’ve reached day 3 already! Things are going a little slow today due to some lighting issues. The bedroom where we’re filming is pretty small, so space is a bit tight. I’ve been grabbing a few stills where possible and also trying to photograph the ducks that live in the house where we’re filming. Well, they don’t live in the house, but in the garden at the back!
I managed to get the lovely Amanda Hennessy to pose for me today….lately she’s more accustomed to being a redhead while playing Marilyn, but today she appears to have acquired a blonde wig too!
….hopefully I’ll have more to report later.
Happy Wednesday !

After a long day filming down in Staffordshire for Owen Parker , I’m finally home, fed, watered, in my jimmys and just getting set for bed, before doing it all again tomorrow.
We had indoor and outdoor scenes to film today, but unfortunately the outdoor scenes got rained off – this leaves us a bit behind schedule.
I can only hope the weather picks up from tomorrow.
There was a pretty feisty scene to
shoot today, but there were still plenty of giggles between takes – I’m pretty sure they’ll be some outakes leaked at some point in the future
Time to upload today’s images now before heading upstairs to bed.
…..until tomorrow – nanight, sleep well!

….or more like ‘fortnightly round up’! I didn’t get chance to blog last Saturday, so here is a taster of what I’ve been up to over the past couple of weeks.
I spent most of my time on set shooting stills for ‘Owen Parker the movie’. It was cold and rainy, but the fun and banter bewteen cast and crew made it all worthwhile. We had an amazing team who all pulled together to make the most out of a less than perfect weather situation !
