Boudoir gift certificates

November 8th, 2013

Okay boys and girls. Listen up. Christmas is just around the corner and your wife / girlfriend / mistress / fiancée / boyfriend / husband, (please delete as appropriate) deserves an amazing present.

Yes, you could give them a fist full of cash, or another piece of jewellery, take them out for a night on the town or buy them some amazing lingerie.

Or you could buy them some amazing new lingerie and a gift certificate for a boudoir shoot, because the two compliment each other really well.

A boudoir shoot is one of the most liberating experiences you can have, and done tastefully, boudoir photography can create some amazing images for you both to treasure – which means everyone’s a winner!

Every client is different. Which means that every shoot is different. It’s tailored to meet each persons needs. Some clients prefer to start their shoot in some comfortable clothing, a bit like a lifestyle shoot, and other clients like to strip down to their undies and get cracking. By purchasing a gift certificate, you’re giving your partner the freedom of arranging their own shoot at a time that’s convenient to them. It also means I can chat to them to find out what they’re comfortable with.

Hair and make up will be professionally done by Natalie of Roberts Steel Hairdressing and you’ll also receive a complimentary bottle of wine to help you relax whilst you’re being pampered.

For further details or to purchase your gift certificate please get in touch.

….the reviews are in

June 25th, 2013

At the beginning of the year Ian and I made a pact to spend more time regularly reviewing the needs of our businesses, and setting goals that would hopefully help keep us on track. Anyone who’s self employed will know that it’s important to review what’s working and what isn’t….. although sometimes you can get so caught up with everything that things start to veer off track without you even noticing, and you get sidetracked by all the new shiny opportunities that keep popping up. That’s pretty much what has happened in the past few weeks! Our first review in January went well, and so did the second one in April, and although the next one is due on Monday, we decided to bring it forward to today as we both felt we had started to divert. Spinning plates, and lots of them springs to mind, but trying to focus on keeping them all in the air at the same time really wasn’t doing me any favours! Diverting doesn’t bother me, sometimes that can be good – but trying to multi-task so many things was making me feel scatty, unorganised and generally unfocused. There has been lots going on behind the scenes over the past month or so, we’ve been working on a lot of new projects together, and I’m really excited about the new services we’ll be launching over the coming months…..which is why today we felt the need to sit down and dissect everything. There are things that I reviewed in April, that just lately I’ve started to file under headings like, ‘what the hell was I thinking?’……

… after a good brainstorming session, lots of planning, talking and writing, I feel like I’m finally back on track. But I’m also looking forward to seeing where my next set of diversions lead me in 3 months time at my next business review….

Happy Tuesday! 🙂

….365 project {days 71 to 78}

April 19th, 2013

Day 71 – Health:

Natural Health magazine. I bought this for the first time a couple of weeks back. With all my ailments, I’m much more aware these days of being kind to my body. I think I drove Ian a bit mad by discovering interesting (to me) articles and then repeatedly saying ‘Ian, listen to this….’, and then continuing to read out loud to him 🙂

Adventure Monday….

April 15th, 2013

Easter Monday, otherwise known as Adventure Monday, saw Ian and I head out to Delamere Forest. Ian wanted to record the dawn chorus and some other forest noises, and I was determined to catch the sunrise. Easter Sunday had been glorious (although cold), with clear blue skies and the same was forecast for Easter Monday – but despite being up at 4.30am to get to our destination it was too overcast for the sunrise! Oh well – there’s nothing like a trial run to prepare for next time 😉 We had the place to ourselves for a few hours, and even though we didn’t manage to get exactly what we were hoping for, we still managed to get out early and capture things we wouldn’t normally have…..

365 project {days 59 to 70}

April 12th, 2013

I intended on posting this last weekend, but I was having some issues with my blog – better late than never though, eh?

Day 59 – Exploring:

It was one of those Sundays where Ian and I were both feeling a bit yucky, so we decided to head out for a walk and a bit of an explore. There’s a building I discovered last month and on Sunday I finally got to go and take a look…. You can see the full blog post ——–> here

…..urban exploration day

April 2nd, 2013

I think this is the first Easter in the last three years where Ian and I have managed to take a few days off work and spend some time together. On Sunday, we headed out of the house for couple of hours to grab some fresh air and do some exploring. There’s a building I discovered last month, and everytime I drive past it I have to resist the urge to go in. On Sunday, I finally got to inspect it further, it was quite eerie wandering around from room to room, but it made for some interesting photos…..

365 project {days 44 to 58}

March 30th, 2013

One thing I should remember about my 365 project is that I need to stay organised! I’ve been taking photos and telling myself I’ll upload them later that day….. only I get distracted, and before I know it I’ve got photos on two different cameras and on my phone. Yesterday it took me nearly two hours to sort everything out. Note to self: stay on top of 365 project!

Day 44:

Saturday night movie. We’ve never seen ‘The Thing’ before, but it’s been highly recommended on a number of occasions. It was okay – but I found myself giggling in a few places due to the special effects. It’s hard to imagine anything like that these days….

Headshots {Lisa-Mary}

March 29th, 2013

I first met Lisa back in December 2012 when I was shooting stills for The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, she was so full of energy and enthusiasm. Shortly afterwards Lisa contacted me to book in for some headshots.

The session was really relaxed, which is key when having a photoshoot done, and I think it’s safe to say that Lisa’s personality shines through on these photos – she has such an amazing and infectious smile! We did a mix of indoor studio shots, and outdoor shots – here are a few of my favourites from the day….

If you’d like to book in for a headshot session, please get in touch. Prices start from £99
