Day by Day {days 215 to 221}
It’s been another busy week, but I’ve just about managed to keep on top of my project…..well…..kind of. Some day’s I’ve taken two photo’s to make up for missing a day. But that’s okay….my project…..my rules!!
Anyway, here are days 215 to 221…..
Day 215: There is an adorable pussy cat that comes into our garden. We call him pouncy kitty! We don’t know where he lives, but he comes in and knocks plants over and hides in the tree’s underneath the bird feeders….waiting…to pounce! Luckily the birds are too fast for him.
Day 216: Pouncy kitty – again! He’s getting braver and friendlier. He comes up to the back door now, but he’s still too quick for me when I try and get his photo. This was taken on my 50mm 1.8. I think I just need Read more »

Day by Day {days 208 to 214}
Well, it looks like I’m back ino the swing of things! It’s been a busy week, lots of admin, planning and co-ordinating, but I’ve made time to take a photo each day….Yay me!
Here are days 208 to 214…..
Day 208: As a photographer, it’s probably quite pitiful that I don’t really have any photo’s up in the house. We have one wedding photo in the living room, and I have a couple in my office, but that’s it. …and the only time I ever take photo’s of Ian is when we are on a day out somewhere. I sometimes think I need to make more of an effort to get photo’s of the people close to me.
Day 209: Smudgie. A bit of a Read more »

The House That Stank of Death
As David ran towards me with a meat cleaver, wearing a Jason mask, in a cemetery, I realised that this was the strangest photoshoot I had EVER done! …..and until I got there, I didn’t realise there would even BE a meat clever!
Back in July The House That Stank of Death aired at Lass Fest in Read more »

Upcycle Challenge
“We are looking for teams of wedding industry professionals to get together and create a range of upcycled brides & bridesmaid looks plus a “themed table” with only a few rules….
All items must come from a LOCAL charity shops or 2nd hand stores (within 25 miles of where you live or slightly further afield if there are non in your area) this includes clothes and all accessories and you have to prove you have bought from a charity shop by either having photos of you buying them or a receipt of some sort, the table must include centrepiece or display, table names or numbers plus place cards etc..everything you would expect to see!
There must be at least 2 table settings, tables and chairs can be your own but everything else must be up-cycled”!
These were the rules given by Colette of All Wrapped Up Events back in July, when the ‘Upcycle Challenge’ was launched. I answered Colette’s call on Twitter for a photographer and the rest as they say, is errr…..history!

Day by Day {days 201 to 207}
I’ve been pretty bad over the past month or so at posting my ‘Day by Day’ project, but hopefully I’m back on track! Here are days 201 to 207……..
Day 201: Whilst having a massive clear out I found these roller blades at the back of the wardrobe. I bought them when I was about 18/19 and I can’t believe I still have them! Ian and I used to go rollerblading after that though when we first got together – not these days though – my hips aren’t up to it! God, I’m getting old! :0)
Day 202: Another find during the clear out. My wedding shoes. I had every intention of ‘wearing them again’, so I had them Read more »

I love it when a plan comes together……..
As we sat and looked out across the marina, watching the boats gently rock back and forth on the water, the impossible almost seemed possible. We discussed our current situation, our goals and more importantly our fears; or rather my fears of the future.
Ian listened and gave me his advice, the way he always does. Always truthful, and sometimes Read more »
