A military wedding: Kelly and Lee
A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting alongside Sue Westwood-Ruttledge. I’ve never shot a military wedding before, so when Sue asked me to shoot the groom prep, I had no idea what to expect.

Owen Parker: Part III Days 6 and 7

Part III of filming Owen Parker is now over, although overall, we’re behind with shooting by a few days.
Day 6 of filming (Saturday), was interesting as I got to photograph a pig! When I was younger, I was pig mad; I loved them and collected anything to do with them, so Saturday was brilliant! Her name was Ninja and she was 7 years old.

I thought things would be more frantic, but Rob, Ninja’s owner carefully guided her round while tempting her with food. Pigs have really bad eyesight and rely a lot on their sense of smell, so it was interesting to watch Ninja slowly moving around.
In the build up to Saturday, the day was simply known as ‘pig day’. As it was pig day, there were no cast, just crew, so we managed an early finish and made the most of the nice weather and had a bbq.

We invited the residents of our shooting location, as a thank you for putting up with us and our filming! Everyone had been really welcoming, so it was only right to show our appreciation.
Yesterday, day 7, the weather was all over the place and completely unpredictable. At one point we got rained off; we had all gathered under umbrellas to try and wait it out, but in the end, we gave up and went for lunch.

Finally, after lunch, the sun made an appearance and we headed back out to continue shooting; we even managed to get an early finish!
Last night when Ian and I got home, it was good to kick back with a take-away and a cheeky Tsingtao, knowing we could have a lie in and take it easy this morning!
Look out for official photo’s of Owen Parker soon….
Happy Monday !

Owen Parker: Part III Day 3

I can’t believe we’ve reached day 3 already! Things are going a little slow today due to some lighting issues. The bedroom where we’re filming is pretty small, so space is a bit tight. I’ve been grabbing a few stills where possible and also trying to photograph the ducks that live in the house where we’re filming. Well, they don’t live in the house, but in the garden at the back!
I managed to get the lovely Amanda Hennessy to pose for me today….lately she’s more accustomed to being a redhead while playing Marilyn, but today she appears to have acquired a blonde wig too!
….hopefully I’ll have more to report later.
Happy Wednesday !

Owen Parker: Part III Day 2
After a long day filming down in Staffordshire for Owen Parker , I’m finally home, fed, watered, in my jimmys and just getting set for bed, before doing it all again tomorrow.
We had indoor and outdoor scenes to film today, but unfortunately the outdoor scenes got rained off – this leaves us a bit behind schedule.
I can only hope the weather picks up from tomorrow.
There was a pretty feisty scene to
shoot today, but there were still plenty of giggles between takes – I’m pretty sure they’ll be some outakes leaked at some point in the future ![]()
Time to upload today’s images now before heading upstairs to bed.
…..until tomorrow – nanight, sleep well!

Owen Parker: Part III Day 1

Yesterday, filming for Owen Parker continued. We’re into phase three now, but we still have some days to catch up on due to the bad weather. …..and as yesterday proved, the British weather is highly unpredictable! We’re heading back down to Staffordshire today until Sunday, so we’re hoping for good results weather wise. Last time we were down that way the weather was gorgeous – so please keep your fingers crossed for us!
Happy Tuesday!

‘Try it’
With each step hitting the pavement, every breath got sharper. The air was cool, and the only people I passed were dog walkers, or people doing the ‘walk of shame’ home. It was a spare of the moment decision, so I didn’t have any music for my journey; it was just me and the open road.
I’ve suffered with Read more »
