…..what have I been doing?!

February 23rd, 2012

My blog has always been a bit of an outlet really. It started out as a place where I could share what I was up to photography wise, and soon it grew into somewhere I also shared personal images and stories as well. I suppose some people would describe it as online therapy!

In short – I love blogging and sharing what I’ve been up to. Just lately though, I’ve not had the time to keep up with it as I’ve been too busy. Which isn’t a bad thing – so I really can’t complain! But, as I sat today ploughing through my editing backlog, I realised how much I’ve missed it. That outlet of sharing what I’m doing.

So….while I try and get my workload under control, I thought I would give you a preview of whats to come over the next few weeks:

….and I might throw in a few other things as well! ūüėČ

Bridal shoot & “How to” make-up guide…..

June 29th, 2011

Regular readers of my blog will know that I was recently involved in a ‚ÄúHow to‚ÄĚ guide for bridal make-up, which is a current weekly feature on Boho Weddings and Events. Catherine Hughes of Ivy Clara did the make-up guide and Alex Outhwaite was Catherine‚Äôs lovely model for the day‚Ķ‚Ķ..

Check out week’s one and two on how you can go from this‚Ķ‚Ķ.to this‚Ķ‚Ķ.over on Boho now‚Ķ..

Once the guide was complete and Alex looked radiant with her freshly applied bridal make-up, we headed over to Clifton Country Park to do a bridal shoot.

Alex looked stunning and it was lovely Read more »

Inside on a rainy day

June 21st, 2011

I love working with natural light and¬†being outside on location, but¬†sometimes it’s good to experiment and do something different.¬†So last month when a summer shoot I was part of got cancelled due to the ‘not so summery’ weather; myself, model Janina Maibaum and make-up artist Catherine Hughes decided we should do just that…….head inside and do something different!

Janina wanted to create a look using brightly coloured clothes & make-up against a white background.

So, we all piled into Janina’s flat, cleared everything out of the way, Read more »

Springtime woodland photoshoot {part 2}

May 10th, 2011

A couple of weeks ago I headed to Rivington Country Park to do a photoshoot with Paige Sapherson.

The bluebells were in full bloom and looked stunning, so it was only natural to shoot Paige amongst them.

The weather was stunning, but there were plenty of places to grab some top shade out of the blazing sun.

We were spoilt for choice for places to shoot. As we walked through the woods, the luscious greenery looked amazing in the mid-morning sun.

We even found sand!

She was such a dream to photograph.

Thanks to Paige for an amazing shoot, and to Jade Brady for make-up.

Springtime woodland photoshoot

May 4th, 2011

This is a sneak preview of last weeks springtime woodland photoshoot. Paige 17, is a beautiful girl who is in the early stages of putting together her modelling portfolio.

Last Wednesday we headed to Rivington Country Park to get some amazing location shots.

I haven’t got around to editing everything yet, but I just wanted to share a few photos. Paige was a dream to photograph and I hope I get the chance to work with her again soon.

Thanks to Jade Brady for doing the make-up.
