….365 project {days 71 to 78}

April 19th, 2013

Day 71 – Health:

Natural Health magazine. I bought this for the first time a couple of weeks back. With all my ailments, I’m much more aware these days of being kind to my body. I think I drove Ian a bit mad by discovering interesting (to me) articles and then repeatedly saying ‘Ian, listen to this….’, and then continuing to read out loud to him :)

Adventure Monday….

April 15th, 2013

Easter Monday, otherwise known as Adventure Monday, saw Ian and I head out to Delamere Forest. Ian wanted to record the dawn chorus and some other forest noises, and I was determined to catch the sunrise. Easter Sunday had been glorious (although cold), with clear blue skies and the same was forecast for Easter Monday – but despite being up at 4.30am to get to our destination it was too overcast for the sunrise! Oh well – there’s nothing like a trial run to prepare for next time ;) We had the place to ourselves for a few hours, and even though we didn’t manage to get exactly what we were hoping for, we still managed to get out early and capture things we wouldn’t normally have…..

365 project {days 59 to 70}

April 12th, 2013

I intended on posting this last weekend, but I was having some issues with my blog – better late than never though, eh?

Day 59 – Exploring:

It was one of those Sundays where Ian and I were both feeling a bit yucky, so we decided to head out for a walk and a bit of an explore. There’s a building I discovered last month and on Sunday I finally got to go and take a look…. You can see the full blog post ——–> here

…..urban exploration day

April 2nd, 2013

I think this is the first Easter in the last three years where Ian and I have managed to take a few days off work and spend some time together. On Sunday, we headed out of the house for couple of hours to grab some fresh air and do some exploring. There’s a building I discovered last month, and everytime I drive past it I have to resist the urge to go in. On Sunday, I finally got to inspect it further, it was quite eerie wandering around from room to room, but it made for some interesting photos…..

365 project {days 44 to 58}

March 30th, 2013

One thing I should remember about my 365 project is that I need to stay organised! I’ve been taking photos and telling myself I’ll upload them later that day….. only I get distracted, and before I know it I’ve got photos on two different cameras and on my phone. Yesterday it took me nearly two hours to sort everything out. Note to self: stay on top of 365 project!

Day 44:

Saturday night movie. We’ve never seen ‘The Thing’ before, but it’s been highly recommended on a number of occasions. It was okay – but I found myself giggling in a few places due to the special effects. It’s hard to imagine anything like that these days….

Headshots {Lisa-Mary}

March 29th, 2013

I first met Lisa back in December 2012 when I was shooting stills for The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, she was so full of energy and enthusiasm. Shortly afterwards Lisa contacted me to book in for some headshots.

The session was really relaxed, which is key when having a photoshoot done, and I think it’s safe to say that Lisa’s personality shines through on these photos – she has such an amazing and infectious smile! We did a mix of indoor studio shots, and outdoor shots – here are a few of my favourites from the day….

If you’d like to book in for a headshot session, please get in touch. Prices start from £99

…..365 project {days 37 to 43}

March 15th, 2013

Day 37:

Mum and Dad had everyone over for Mothers Day. Smudgie has a towel near the back door for when he comes in out of the rain, he runs straight onto it and waits for someone to dry him – it’s normally my Dad. He gets dried off, has his paws dried and then he gets wrapped up in the towel – which he loves! He lies there for ages getting fussed, and if you stop the fussing, he meows at you and taps your arm with his paw until you continue……

…..365 project {days 29 to 36}

March 8th, 2013

Day 29:

Why is it when you need important documents you can never find them? Even though you know you always keep them in a certain place. Last Friday saw me and Ian turning the house upside down and going through everything at least 4 times each – we still didn’t find what we were looking for……

….365 project {days 23 to 28}

March 2nd, 2013

I’ve been trying to think of a name for my 365 project, and the only thing I’ve come up with so far is ‘……a year in the life of….’. I’m not sure if that’s a bit optimistic though seeing as I didn’t complete the last project….

….here are days 23 to 28:

Day 23:

A Saturday night of Toy Story 2, garlic bread, pizza and Skyfall = happy LR :) I saw Skyfall at the cinema and was in complete awe of it. I thought the cinematography was amazing  – I loved it even more the second time around.

…..boudoir photography

February 7th, 2013

There are many misconceptions about boudoir photography. When mentioned, a lot of people instantly think of glamour photography, along with a range of page 3 poses. There are also many other photographers with their own ideas about what boudoir photography is. For me, it’s about celebrating who you are – tastefully. Women choose to have boudoir shoots for many different reasons. For some, it’s a gift for their partner, be it Valentine’s Day or their wedding day. For others, it’s about reaching a milestone in their life or a certain age and wanting a reminder of how they once looked. Whatever the reason behind it, a boudoir shoot is a personal choice and tastefully done it can create some beautiful images to treasure.

Whether you want a boudoir shoot to celebrate just how damn gorgeous you are, you want to surprise your partner with something special, or you want to treat your partner to a photoshoot (it is nearly Valentine’s Day after all!), please get in touch. Hair and make up will be professionally done by Natalie of Roberts Steel Hairdressing and you’ll also receive a complimentary bottle of wine to help you relax whilst you’re being pampered.
