So here we are, 2012 is drawing to a close which can only mean one thing – my end of year review. I’ve had an amazing year and I’ve had the pleasure of working with some fantastic people on a range of equally fantastic projects. I’ve made some lovely new friends, and not just on Facebook and Twitter but in real life too! I know! I’ve also had the opportunity to be part of some amazing weddings and I’ve met some truly brilliant people. If I could high five everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with this year, I would. But you’ll all have to settle for a virtual chest bump instead! Thanks for a brilliant year – I’m looking forward to working on some new projects in 2013 ! In no particular order, here is my year in images……Filed under: Commercial, Engagement, Fashion, Music, Personal, Photography, Pre-Wedding, Prom, Theatre, Weddings | Comments Off
Back in February I did an urban portfolio shoot which you can see here. At the time I had also been wanting to experiment with something a bit edgier than my usual style and Kez was more than willing to help me out. I had been looking at photography within the music industry and how the background plays such an important part in a photo; I wanted to have a play with my editing too and do something quite far removed from my usual style. Here is the outcome…..Filed under: Music, Photography, Portfolio | Comments Off

So here we are, this is Part II of the Arnside shoot: Petra Hvizdakova, Oiginally from Slovakia, now lives in the lovely Lake District.
She was so photogenic!
….with such amazing eyes.
We walked along Arnside promenade, but couldn’t go down onto the actual beach as the tide was in.
I loved working with Petra; she was so easy to get along with.
Thank you Petra, it was a pleasure to photograph you!

The sun was shining and I’d just had one of my Homer Simpson ‘Doh’ moments. I’d forgotten my suncream. I was on my way to the Lakes and I was going to burn. Big time.
For those of you who read my blog regularly, you’ll be aware that I have a soft spot for the Lakes. The fact that I was heading up to the Lakes was fab. But it was made even better by the fact that I was going up there to shoot as well. ALL DAY
Last week I got together with some other photographers from my Bespoke group at Aspire. It was our final two days, so a few of us got together and headed up to the Lakes a day early to do a shoot.
Anyway, this is Sara and Joe….
They’re an amazing couple to photograph…..but Read more »Filed under: Personal, Portfolio | Comments Off
Regular readers of my blog will know that I was recently involved in a “How to” guide for bridal make-up, which is a current weekly feature on Boho Weddings and Events. Catherine Hughes of Ivy Clara did the make-up guide and Alex Outhwaite was Catherine’s lovely model for the day……..
Check out week’s one and two on how you can go from this…….to this…….over on Boho now…..
Once the guide was complete and Alex looked radiant with her freshly applied bridal make-up, we headed over to Clifton Country Park to do a bridal shoot.

This is a little sneaky peek of a shoot I did a couple of weeks back. Catherine Hughes of Ivy Clara Make-up & Styling was asked to do a feature for Boho Weddings and Events on how to do bridal make-up. I was pretty excited when Catherine asked me to do the photography for it.
More images and full blog to come in the next few weeks, but for now, head on over to Boho Weddings and Events and see week 1 of how you can go from this……
I also wanted to share this image of model Alex Outhwaite hastily eating a doughnut before she had her lipstick done!
I’m looking forward to working with you both again soon.Filed under: Personal, Portfolio, Weddings | Comments Off
