The Queens Return {unit stills}
On a weekend in September, in a pub in Manchester a group of people got together to shoot a short film.
Micheal Wray, owner and director of Zemap and Nigel Adams, agent of North West Actors who both belong to Bury Scriptwriters wrote and directed The Queens Return for a Halloween showcase.
Here are some stills and behind the scenes shots from the weekend……

Back in July I shot some production stills for a short film called ‘The Big Day’, which was being entered into the Virgin Media Shorts. The rule is that all entries have to be no longer than 2 minutes 20 seconds – including titles and credits. Yikes – no pressure then! Out of over 860 entries, ‘The Big Day’ written by PurpleCoat Productions, has now made it to the final 13!!
Between now and October 21st, all of the final films are being shown at hundreds of independent cinemas nationwide, which means that 1) I’m gonna get my name on the big screen (high fives all round), and 2) we really, really, really, need you guys to vote for us! To get this far out of so many entrants is amazing.
The votes are cast through the power of social media, on Facebook and Twitter. To vote on the Virgin Media Facebook page, please hit the vote button next to ‘The Big Day’.
To vote on Twitter, your tweet must include the films name, followed by #VMShortsVote = (The Big Day #VMShortsVote)
I know that Karl and the gang at PurpleCoat would really appreciate your help – so please help us to spread the word, tell all of your family and friends and ask them to vote, it would be really appreciated! 🙂

……perhaps I’m a little bit behind with some of my blog posts – approx. a year maybe 😉
In March 2012 I got the chance to shoot production stills with an amazing group of people, on a project that had been in the works for quite some time. You can find further information about the project on the Charlie Film website.
If you have an upcoming project that you would like to discuss booking me as your stills photographer for, please get in touch.

Last week saw another sell out show from PurpleCoat Productions. This time, it was Titus Andronicus at Unity Theatre in Liverpool. The day before the show opened I headed over to take some photos of the final rehearsal.
You can see photos of their previous show here ——–> The Rise and Fall of Little Voice.

….here comes my first blog post of 2013! Towards the end of December last year I headed over to The Lantern Theatre in Liverpool to shoot theatre stills for the of The Rise and Fall of little voice. The latest show from Purplecoat Productions, it got some very good reviews so I hope some of you managed to see it. The cast were amazing, and I was blown away by some of their performances. I LOVE shooting stills for film. There’s nothing quite like the buzz of being on set. Back in September I shot the production stills for a feature film trailer called ‘The Final Haunting’. The building where we shot was a bit spooky and apparently haunted – which was quite apt really! The upper part of the building hadn’t been refurbished yet so it was all in darkness – it was a bit eery but nothing particularly scary. Although I’m pretty sure if I had come face to face with anything I might have changed my mind ;). Hopefully the film should be going into production pretty soon – I’ll keep you posted.
